Fees & Insurance

Many people need help paying for counseling. Health insurance providers generally offer some type of behavioral health benefits, and depending on your plan, I may be either an "in-network" or "out-of-network" provider. Behavioral health benefits vary widely from plan to plan, so please check with your healthcare provider to find out what kind of benefits you have, and what your financial responsibility will be.

If you do not have health insurance, you will need to pay for counseling on your own. Whether you use insurance or not, please be advised that at this time, I am able to accept payments by cash, check, or Zelle. I am unable to process credit or debit card payments.


I am an approved provider in the Horizon Blue Cross network. If you have behavioral health benefits through Horizon, and I am in your network, I will be happy to submit your claims for you. Your co-payment will then be due at the conclusion of each session. 


If I am not in your insurance network, that means that I cannot submit claims directly to your insurance provider, so if you wish to use insurance to help pay for counseling, you will need to pay my full fee up front, and then submit an invoice to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Upon your request, I will be happy to provide an invoice for you to submit for that purpose. 

While some health insurance companies will reimburse clients for out-of network counseling services, many will not. Please be sure to contact your provider ahead of time, so that you understand what kind of benefits you have, if any. Since you will be paying for services each time we meet, any and all reimbursements should be made directly to you. Please do not assign any payments to me.


If you prefer to self-pay for counseling, or if your insurance does not cover counseling services, my regular fee is $150.00 per session. In some cases, a limited sliding scale may be available. Payment will be due at the conclusion of each session. 

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Should you be unable to keep an appointment, you must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session time, or you may be charged a missed-session fee.
