I believe that we are body, mind, and spirit, and that by integrating these aspects of our being, we can know more fully who we are, and what we want out of life. When we know our strengths, as well as our challenges, we can look at our circumstances with curiosity instead of blame, and give ourselves permission to grow into the people we most want to be.
We all have the power to change our lives for the better! Whether we want to break a bad habit, leave a dead-end job, repair a damaged relationship, or resolve a troubling issue, I believe we have the power to do so. The first step is to simply accept ourselves where we are. Once we do that, it's easier to see and embrace the changes that will move us toward a happier, more fulfilling life.
I welcome all individuals and relationships, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, spirituality, ability status, sex, gender identification/expression, or sexual orientation, and I affirm and respect both traditional and alternative lifestyles. You are the expert on your life, and I will respect your values as we work together to reach the goals you set for yourself.
If you've never been in counseling before, taking the first step can be difficult, but having the courage to make that first phone call can be the beginning of a rewarding journey toward self-empowerment and a happier life. Your choice of counselor is a very personal one, and the relationship you build with him or her is an important factor in the success of the work you will do together. If you would like to discuss whether I might be the right counselor for you, please feel free to give me a call at 973-493-8006.
